Richard Dean Anderson fans, the wait is almost over! The former Stargate SG-1 star will guest star as himself in the April 9 episode of The Simpsons. The long-running animated comedy is the favorite show of both Anderson and his SG-1 namesake, Jack O'Neill.
Here's the official description for the episode, "Kiss Kiss Bang Bangalore:"
Homer learns that the nuclear power plant is being shut down and outsourced to India. After Homer is sent to train the new employees, he becomes power hungry in his new position of authority. Meanwhile, Selma and Patty meet their Hollywood heartthrob, MacGyver (Richard Dean Anderson), and kidnap him for their own obsessive worship. When Anderson discovers how exciting real-life drama can be, he refuses to leave until Selma and Patty devise their own plan.
The episode airs Sunday, April 9 at 8 p.m. Eastern/Pacific on FOX in the U.S.
