Data or Worf

I love data, never a bad performance from brent spiner, pretty much did the whole android trying to be human thing perfectly

Worf, so conflicted and aggressive, held in by starfleet protocol, but it's great to see it come out sometimes

I'm torn between voting for Wesley Crusher or Dr. Pulaski.... Grin

No, just kidding. For me it's Picard. I'm not a big TNG fan but Picard is the best captain in my opinion. And Patrick Steward is just a great actor for this job.

Counselor Deanna Troi. I like Marina Sirtis' appearance and her distinct English accent, and she is also a great actor. She is really capable of performing totaly different roles. Remember "Face of the enemy" episode, in which she is disguised as a member of Romulan secret police? Or "First Contact" movie, when she drank too much "something called" tequila? I was really happy when she appeared in Voyager, and in the last episode of Enterprise. BTW, I always like to see references to The Next Generation series, which was, in my opinion, the best. Probably, I can't be objective here... it's simply that I grew up in the 80's... and usually the first show people watched, is their favourite.

Speaking of Wesley Crusher... I've noticed that many people hated him. The usual argument for this was that he made TNG "less serious" and that there was a danger for it to become some kind of "children show". Well, I was 10 years old when first seasons of The Next Generation were showing on, and I liked Wesley very much. From today's perspective, I think that maybe some episodes were a little bit childish, but there were also a great ones: like "Justice", "Evolution" or "The Game".

I have to agree that the first show (first serious show) someone watches as a kid becomes their favorite. I remember watching TNG when I was five or six. It kinda stuck with me. I always thought that Picard was the best character but then I realized that Riker is the one that gets to have all the fun, i.e. shooting people, getting alien chicks, and exploring cool places. So I gatta go with him. Wink

it's kinda interesting how alot of people's favorites are the alien or artifical lifeform characters. I think it says something, I just don't know what.
