Does the Wraith have Genitic memory??

I have pondering this for some time now.Due to the fact we don't know that much about these Beings.But i was wondering do they have Genetic memory.Because as ti what i saw there isn't a place that they stay long enough to built a society.They are hunters in a sense.Because how come can they be so  much more advance then any other race in The Pegasus Galaxy??

and there Kids where do they keep them??? are kept in Wraith kindergartens and what not :). I mean,  would them  running around in the vital area of the Hives like the control centers, fighter bays, Fridges and throne rooms.And live sucking room.There is where they keep the Cows I.E. ( Humans ) And Please do say that they reproduce asexually,because I don't think so.What a waste with those Queen's


And what about the many humans in cocoons, and also the humans who are "Wraith worshipers"? What can be done for them ???I say those who are stored humans are already dead. Wraith  loyalists have sided with the enemy, making them the enemy as well. Call it all collateral damage and be done with it.

I think if they don't have genetic memory it wouldn't really matter.  I think their psychic link gives them the same advantage the Borg had in  Star Trek: access to all knowledge that has been gleaned over the years.  

As for reproducing, my theory would be that they do it like bees (after all, they have hive ships).  The queen has sex with the males & lays eggs in the hive & they spring out fully formed.  There is no way that a little wraith would survive a hunt because they can be killed by a skilled warrior (or someone who is lucky).  It would be too dangerous to let them feed off a human that wasn't restrained, so I suppose that if they kept them on the hive ship & let them feed off of humans that other wraith restrained, that would work.  But I think it would be difficult to maintain that.  That seems just wrong in the scheme of things, tbh.  I think the wraith coming out fully grown makes the most sense.

The Psychic link holds water,However they all compete for the same food supply.During the Lantean Wraith war, the wraith queen or queens spawn a few good originals, warriors being brainless, and ubers being the commanders and leaders. The wraiths clone the originals, create huge army, defeat ancient, ( How do they know they could do this?? Where did they learn this,and that it was possible using a ZPM from the Lanteans That is my point. Also if you as a Queen you won't share ever thing to everyone ,because simply it could be use against you sometime.) Pegasus  is now all theirs for the taking, food source then runs low, wraiths break up into factions, they war on each other, some factions win, but with lo food supply, they started to feed on each other, the clones being first to get sucked up, then on themselves, then afterwards, decide to hibernate a few of themselves to conserve food and leave the guardian wraiths to gather up humans every now and then to feed the hibernating only against the Lantean did they work together,because the recognize the treath there. But mostly they each hive is solitary. So if not at war how much info do they exchange???even at war they don't seem to share that much.So again how did they learn all the things they know??? there is nothing that suggest any typed of Wraith world where they learn things.They all are space fares now.


Maybe Lord Q can added to this?? Since he thinks that he knows Rafiki im  counting on your insight.


Also i really want to THX Lord Pain in the Arse for letting me know i miss spell something.Perhaps he can also be insightful enough to make a intelligent comment  on this topic.

they prolly have genetic memory like all bugs(like aliens a.k.a xenomorphs)..pesky lil critters..
their children prolly grow to adult size in matter of days maybe even hours ::: :))

All good points guys.  But the psychic link is still something that they can use for getting the basic knowledge.  Besides, their particular hive would have the points from before a war.  I'd bet they can get more info from a member of another hive if they feed off of him.  The feeding would weaken any barriers he was able to have raised.  Plus, sucking his life force may be similar to the Borg assimilation: they would gain any knowledge that Wraith had.

if that is true then they would have known where earth is,but they don't. Which Galaxy and all that good stuff .because the first queen sucked the live out of the first military guy and he has allot of info in that head of his.at least where earth is.They know of this rich
 feeding ground and the way to get it is to come to Atlantis.

I doubt that the wraith have genetic memory.
I think it is just that they live so long and learn from each other through their Psychic link.
I also doubt that they absorb the memories of their victims.

When it comes to the wraith children i think you guys better watch episode 2x7 Instinct again.
From that episode it looks like the wraith children are born (probably from pods or cocoons) and eats food like humans up to a certain stage when they start to feed off humans.
As to where they are kept while growing up your guess is as good as mine.
From that episode it also looks like the children are born male and female but what happens to the females i have no idea. Maybe they are future queens.

Because they know how to work all there tech. :) pilot a Dart shoot a weapon and hook the human cows up in those cocoon thing for the rest to feed on.You simply don't learn this while your in the cocoon  right??

Kosh i still don't think that the wraith have genetic memory. The soldiers are born fully grown up but we don't know what they go through before they are used in the field. I also don't think the soldiers work the wraith tech such as flying the hive ships and darts. I've only seen the queens and the normal wraith males operate the controls of the hive ships and fly the darts. The soldiers are just plain fighting 'machines' which they can probably be taught or trained in in a short period of time through the Psychic link. That is if these soldiers can be communicated to using that link.

On the other hand these soldiers may be acting largely on instinct the way animals do.
