yea, well Itunes uses DRM also which is also garbage as that will also cause more trouble then it is worth.

Yup I think we all agree DRM is bad. I have a cd which I can't listen to on my computer because after I ripped it, I changed the drive I stored my music on. Suddenly, it only plays gobbledygook. As a result, I never listen to that band anymore, because I cba trying to find where in my messy house I've got the cd!! So too bad so sad, I probably won't buy their next cd as a result!

yup, that DRM is cause I think ppl to use pirated material as it is much easier to use that media.

no, higher quality than the internet alternatives that are legally provided. They use a low quality MP4 on itunes, thats like 320x240px. And you can get 720p copies from torrent sites which are 1140x720 or summit close to that.

:) Some of the stuff I've downloaded from torrents has been close to the original. Seems kinda dumb to not offer quality stuff for legal download, especially with the free pirated stuff being readily available!! :rolleyes:

I never said anything about leaked versions. I was talking about stuff that was offered legally. Ex said that those ones are often poorer quality.

How would that possibly make it that they would have to provide a lower quality product? On the cd I talked about earlier, the quality of recording was no worse than any other cd I have. So it doesn't automatically mean a loss of quality of DRM is involved.
