...or maybe old for somebody, but definitely new for me. After finnishing SG1, SGA, BSG, star trek or firefly and babylon.. there seems to be no other space-based sci-fi. i know there are some older shows, but I've seen them all already. Is there more sci-fi? well yeah there is.. and don't reject right away - sci-fi anime. The authors do things other are afraid, or more so, don't have budget for. They look further to the future than star trek. They show humanity in completely different light, technologies and abilities. Worlds with orbital elevators, colonized solar system, civilizations that has lost earth, or that travel through galaxy on huge colonies... i tried to pick up the best sci-fi animes... if you want give it a try;) http://scifi-anime.xf.cz/en_scifi_anime.html

wanna new sci-fi series? dramatic sci-fi anime series, that's the answer - don't be afraid, these are not tales for children or little girls. Anime can be drama, mystic, postapocalyptic, political, about wars, full of violence... This is website with recommended anime for those who hasn't already tried. http://scifi-anime.xf.cz/en_scifi_anime.html

I loved the film "Titan A.E" The soundtrack by "creed" was awsome so I might give 1 or 2 a go when things quite down again on the d/l front.
thanks for the link :)

Hey reanimator - have you watched BSG 1978 -1980, space 1999 - 2 seasons, andromeda - 5 seasons, star hunter - 2 seasons, Earth2, regenesis, odyssey 5
There all great series. Any others I'm missing. Seaquest... Maybe I am missing some but it would be great to know if I am.

well to say the truth.. i dont wanna watch anything older than from 2000. The dialogues in older series are terrible, and even if you somehow overlook the visual efects, the story is usualy so stupid... i dont wanna offened anybody, but andromeda is a "b show"... i would imagine the premiers were at 2 pm, when children came from school. Earth 2 was much better but still, there wasnt the spark i had watching BSG with my breath held. Maybe if they didnt cancelled it... regenesis is a good one... that one im watching now...
to be more recent, i MUST recommened you all some new shows, i've been watching: - Fringe - X files-like show, but MUCH better - Dollhouse - dont know what to think yet - Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles - surprisingly very good! - The Big Bang Theory - its not actually sci-fi, its comedy with theoretical physicists, but its a must-see show
unfortunately still no new heavy sci-fi tv show:(

Fringe is no where near as good as The X Files. Rip offs rarely are.

I prefer the fringe because at least you get some kind of answer to the episode while the underlining mystery stays intact. The X-files never gave an answer for a looooong time.
