Many of the actors from "Battlestar Galactica" have shared some of their thoughts on how the SciFi Channel show will end, but no one probably described it the way James Callis did.
The actor, who plays Gaius Baltar in the series, told LA Weekly that there's really nothing that can prepare fans for how the show ends, but it's something that even the most hated dictators of our recent past might like.
"Honestly, you can't be disappointed," Callis said. "I think if Adolf Hitler were back, he'd be crying in his handkerchief."
The show follows its space opera model to bring itself to a grand, orchestral end, Callis said.
"There is something operatic about the ending of the show, only in the sense that it's like a full orchestra," he said. "Imagine every single person in the cast represents an instrument, and you've heard their theme or fugue.
"And then all the instruments play together. Everybody involved in this thing together -- it's like the '1812 Overture.' Not only have you got all of the violins and the flutes, you've also got the flipping cannons they brought off Napoleon's ship, blowing off the roof. It's going off with a bang, this thing."
The final episodes begin Jan. 16 on SciFi Channel, and will conclude with what many of the actors have called the ultimate ending. Callis, like many of the actors, has never been afraid to express his thoughts on the series.
Hitler, however, was unavailable for comment.
