I've always thought he was a class-A asshole from the first time I heard about him & his antics.  I think that he shot himself in the foot (or put his head up his ass) to the point that he's lost respect from just about everyone.  His apology to Taylor was too little too late.  The best part was Beyoncé getting up for her acceptance speech later & talking about being Taylor's age & how excited she was.  Then she talked about how she felt Taylor totally deserved the award, called Taylor up & invited her to do her interrupted acceptance speech.

Yup, Kanye is a bloated fish.
