#  The episode currently in the number six slot has the working title "Earth," writer-producer Joseph Mallozzi announced on his blog. The episode is written by Martin Gero, who served as a co-executive producer on Stargate Atlantis and will be a consulting producer on Universe.

"This one involved a long, long discussion on the workings of a certain technology which forms the impetus to another terrific character-driven story," Mallozzi previously said of the episode.
(GateWorld news report)

# "Rob put out his pass on 'Earth' and it's terrific. The Chloe scene merits special mention -- but nothing beyond the fact that it merits special mention because of the secrecy surrounding anything to do with the show."
(Consulting producer Joseph Mallozzi, in a post at his blog)

# Guest characters include Dale Strom, Williams, and O'Neill. It is not known -- but certainly possible -- if this last character is a guest appearance by General Jack O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson).

"Earth" brings some members of the new crew of the Destiny back home -- or at least their consciousnesses. As previously reported, an Ancient communications terminal discovered on board allows people on the ship to communicate with Earth from another galaxy, by swapping bodies with someone on Earth.

Strom is an I.O.A. representative who meets with Camille Wray (who is one of those stuck on the Destiny) in Washington, D.C. Wray knows that she has been I.O.A. middle management at best, and now she's in a position that is very valuable to the organization -- which seeks power and control of the Destiny and all that it represents. They're counting on Wray to play ball, and she knows it.

Colonel Young also appears to be on Earth, meeting with Williams and O'Neill about a potentially dangerous plan.

# "[The show] is much more character-driven, much more of a drama. Survival is the main thing. ... There's two or three deaths, in fact, in the first three episodes, and a suicide by episode six. So this is a harsh world."
(Actor Robert Carlyle, in an interview with IGN.com [SCI FI advertising upfront])

# Just when the suicide will occur is uncertain. Carlyle also told Multichannel News at the same media event that the suicide might occur in episode five. Neither episode had been filmed at the time.

# "I was down on Stage 5 today watching director Ernest Dickerson calling the shots on 'Earth.'"
(Consulting producer Joseph Mallozzi, in a post at his blog)

# Richard Dean Anderson ("Jack O'Neill") will likely guest star in this episode, filming on the show in late March.

"Rick is doing episodes of Universe," series co-creator Brad Wright told GateWorld exclusively. "He was just here yesterday shooting an episode of Universe with us. So that relationship is always on-going, and it's good to have him back."
(GateWorld news report)

# Actor Carlo Rota (24, Saw V) has been cast in the role of Dale Strom. SCI FI Channel indicates that the character is the head of the I.O.A..
(GateWorld news report)

# Grammy-nominated recording artist Janelle Monáe will play herself in an upcoming episode and will perform two songs from her new album Metropolis: "Many Moons" and "Sincerely." Consulting producer Joseph Mallozzi confirmed that her appearance will be in "Earth."

# Actor Lou Diamond Phillips, who plays Colonel Telford in the series premiere, will appear in "Earth." "Despite his long and accomplished career, Lou remains an incredibly down-to-earth and genuinely appreciative individual. A class act, a great guy and, an equally great actor. His performance in 'Earth' had the producers' offices abuzz."
(Consulting producer Joseph Mallozzi, in a post at his blog)

# "Earth" is now episode #7, according to consulting producer Joseph Mallozzi.

# NEW! October 23 - "International Oversight Advisory (I.O.A.) scientists have hatched a plan that could return the crew to Earth. But the plan is far from foolproof and carries potentially deadly consequences. General O'Neill and Home World Command instruct Colonel Young to implement their orders, but he's not convinced, and buys time to consult his comrades."
(Sky1)

# NEW! October 31 - "General O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) wants Col. Young to implement a high-risk plan hatched by I.O.A. scientists that could possibly return the Destiny crew to Earth. Elsewhere, Eli and Chloe use the communication stones to visit their loved ones, culminating in a trip to a club."

Chloe is an idiot not to see what a good guy Elliot is.  Me personally?  I'd choose a man who can appreciate me than a man who would only look at the outside.
