Nimoy reprises his iconic role as Spock for Atari and Cryptic's upcoming MMO game STAR TREK ONLINETHE SKINNY: It's hard to believe that there was once a time that Leonard Nimoy was trying to distance himself from his STAR TREK role as Commander Spock.
These days, the actor seems to have no reservations when it comes to reprising the iconic role that jump-started his career. Nimoy starred as Spock "Prime" in J.J. Abrams' lauded STAR TREK reboot, and now Atari and Cryptic Studios have proudly announced that he will be providing voice-over work for their upcoming MMO game STAR TREK ONLINE.
"I am happy to be involved with STAR TREK ONLINE," said Nimoy. "In this game, the essence of STAR TREK – exploration and adventure – lives long and prospers."
Nimoy will be voicing the introduction to the game as well as providing voice-overs for key in-game scenes.
