Gina Torres Out, Tia Carrere In At 'Warehouse 13'

"Warehouse 13" is developing quite the reputation for casting.

Syfy has already confirmed that Jewel Staite, Sean Maher, Philip Winchester and Nolan Gerard Funk -- all well known and respected names within the genre -- will make guest appearances in the upcoming second season of the cable channel's highest-rated series. And now Syfy has two more reasons to celebrate: Lindsay Wagner and Tia Carrere.

Wagner, who is perhaps best known for her role of Jaime Sommers in the 1970s edition of "Bionic Woman," will head deep into the covert warehouse as the chief medic for the installation. In addition to treating the investigative team, she will also deal with The Regents, the secret agency controlling the warehouse itself, according to a release from Syfy.

Meanwhile, Tia Carrere (yes, Sydney Fox from "Relic Hunter"), will step between the two leading agents as an old flame to leading man Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock). She will play Agent Katie Logan, a role originally filled by "Firefly's" Gina Torres before she bowed out of the appearance, and the duo will re-unite while working on a bizarre case.

Last year, "Warehouse 13" managed to receive the highest ratings ever for Syfy, pulling in 4.1 million viewers. And with such easily recognizable faces making an appearance it looks set to try and set a new record.

The second season premieres July 13 on Syfy.
