Netflix May Save Cancelled NBC Show 'The Event': RUMOR

"We are Rangers.
We walk in the dark places no others will Dare to enter.
We stand on the bridge, and will allow no one to pass.
We live for the One, we die for the One."

Three Anla-shok (Rangers) had gave there lives for this news to come to our attention.

Netflix will soon offer original programming, but will it also come to the rescue of TV shows discarded by networks?

That's the subject of a new rumor, courtesy of Deadline.com.

The TV show in question is sci-fi drama "The Event," recently cancelled by NBC. Deadline reports that another distributor could snap up and extend the series--and Netflix may be one of the contenders.

"Talks are underway with at least one distribution partner to take over the serialized drama," writes Deadline. "The Event executive producer Steve Stark wouldn't comment, but I hear new original programming player Netflix's name tossed around."

Wishful thinking? Perhaps.

Then again, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings recently told All Thinks D that Netflix would be interested in "extending a season of something that was doing well on Netflix."

However, "The Event" isn't part of the current Netflix roster.

Now this the news they brought back from beyond the Rim: There is secret talks right now with other net work and cable company provider to see if they can move this show over.

( " Word is that there has been interest from several cable and digital entities. Stark said that they are exploring the opportunities with  the "full support" of the studio, UMS. "NBC has been an amazing partner, it launched the show beautifully," he said. Added creator Nick Wauters: "We have a dedicated fan base, and we promised them we will deliver one way or another and will continue to tell our stories." )

I'll believe it when it happens.

Then they can bring back Firefly, Jericho and Sarah Connor.

Firefly i can see, but as for the other 2!!!! I can't see that. I got this one for you A-HK: "Notice the waves, each moving in its own order, predictable, unchanging. But drop in a single stone and see how the pattern changes. Everything around it is altered."

"As a  non Believer, I think, that you think all is doomed. Where as the Non believers would surrender to despair, The Believers  fought back with even greater strength. They made the Powers to be  fight for every inch of space."

"The truth points to itself."

Babylon 5 has move in the same way,to an other network,Just as SG-1 was moved from cable to net works.Like everything else as long as the $$$$ is right. I hope they move and become a Tremendously successful show,That the Ass Hole suits would be jealous about and lose the sweet hard deal job.

Firefly i can see, but as for the other 2!!!! I can't see that.

I was implying that none of them are likely.

The main Firefly and Sarah Connor cast and writers are all committed elsewhere now anyway.
