I made a new release of cyberbugs epicoder that includes a 150 mb profile that i made. It also automatically runs the required programs when you do it, all you gotta do now is just run the exe and it will put a desktop shortcut automatically.

This was approved by cyberbug and was put in a area on his webspace for distribution. Go ahead and spread it around if you want.

depending of which computer I use, i get a series of different error messages. They're not the same as the one above (it lets me open the progam but them shuts down when i try to process a file.) Any Ideas?

I too have some problems using it. It does let me encode the file but near the end, the program crashes and no output file can be retreived!

If your missing "comdlg32.ocx" you can get it here. Just put it in "C:\Program Files\Epicoder" or wherever you had epicoder installed to.

As far as when you encode a file and it stops after first pass, this is a problem with epicoder itself, it cannot do bad audio parts, if you do have this problem, use virtualdub to save the wav, and just take out the audio. Then run it through epicoder as video only, then once that is done, just open vdub again and add the audio, then encode the audio to what u want it. Make sure you go into interleave, and put in -35 or your audio will not be synced with the video.

This program encodes in xvid and divx, it's one of the most popular encoding profiles.

True, however believe it or not, there are alot of people who don't have top notch pc's and h264 can be pretty tough on slow computers. It is true that divx and xvid are the most popular though because people with slow machines are able to play them fine.

you dont need top notch pc to play it,obviouslly you cant play it on a 300MH but then again nor can you play xvid on such a machine, it will run but the video will falter and wont be syncronised with the sound
