That the shows producers don't know what they're doing lol
Thats definitely true, that happens when they don't think ahead and write the plot "on the way". Man, once it's all revealed there are going to be so many plot-holes.
What I think is that "the Others" are the remnant of the Dharma Initiative. They achieved a lot of things the initiative was looking for.
For example nanotechnologie. I think that the black cloud (security system) that killed Eko is a made of nanobots. That's why it can change shape&form. I think this shit scans their minds somehow, and it takes the form of persons from their past. For example Jack's father in the first season, Boone to Lock, and Eko's brother. My question is, what drives this thing? Is it controlled by people? (I don't think so). And of course the sounds it makes wouldn't make any sense. There are mechanical sounds (and like a chain).
Anyway this thing acts randomly and makes no sense.
Then they also were trying to make a perfect society (this hasn't been totally achieved).
I bet you 20€ that they will forget about the 4 toed Statue, Sayid saw. There will be no explanation whatsoever.
Btw, did you knew why they killed the character Ana-Lucia, Libby and Eko, because the actor were drunk-driving in Hawaii. It bothers me, that they had to kill a cool character like Eko, just because the idiot decided to drink and drive. Horrible.
