How to backup and rip with AutoGK?

Tools you need:

DVD Shrink (To backup the DVD)
AutoGK (rip to Divx or xvid)

a. How to backup the DVD?

Open DVD Shrink.

1. Open disc.
2. Select Re-author
3. From DVD browser: Drag and drop from Main Movie (Title 1) to DVD structure.
4. From Compression Settings: Change Video from automatic to NO Compression. (You don’t want to compress the movie!!!) also select Audio and Subpicture you like.
5. Select backup.
In next screen (Target Size Exceeded) select yes.


In Target Device

1. Select Backup Target: Hard disk folder
2. Select Target folder for DVD output files: were you want to save the files.
3. Click OK to start.


1.   Disable: Enable video preview.
Wait until finish……..


Close DVD Shrink. The files look like this.



b. How to rip with AutoGK?

Open Auto Gordian Knot.
 
1. Input file: In the movie source from VIDEO_TS select: VTS_01_0 (where the full movie is).


2. Output file: The place you want to save the .avi.
3. Audio Track: Select Audio for your movie.
4. Subtitle track(s): Select what subtitle you want if you want
5. Select output size: 2 CDs (1400MB) or what ever you like.
 6. Advanced Parameters: Select Advanced Settings.

     
1. Output Resolution Settings: Select Auto Width (you don’t want to mess with width and height).
2. Output audio type: Select VBR MP3 Kbps 192. (If you want to save ac3 Minimum output size 2 CDs, to be sure 3 CDs).
3. Codec: What ever you like Xvid or Divx.
4. Subtitle Options:
Display Only Forced Subtitles: Leave this blank (if you check this then the subtitles will hard coded on the movie and is impossible to remove later if you want).
Use External Subtitles: create 2 external subtitle files, which are able to be edited in wordpad. When these files are in the same folder as the AVI's, in that case the subtitles will be superimposed over the top of the movie. You can remove it if you don’t want.
5. click ok to return.


1. Add Job:  To add to the Job Queue.
2. click Start: start encoding jobs in the Queue.

Wait until job is done……….!!!!
