Damon Lindelof remains tight-lipped on Star Trek XIBastard

To some, Star Trek may be dead. But to Paramount, the franchise is very much alive.
Damon Lindelof, who is co-producing "Star Trek XI," says the movie is set to be more character focused and hopefully more engaging than other incarnations of the franchise.
"We are trying to write a movie that Trekkers and my mother in New Jersey will all understand and love," said Lindelof, who is co-producing the movie along with his “Lost” partner J.J. Abrams. But what exactly does that entail? Don’t ask Lindelof as his lips on the subject are sealed.
"We’re not giving out any information about Trek at all," he said.
Lindelof was careful not to let anything slip, however he did confirm that the previously announced team of Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci (who have worked with Abrams on “Alias,” “Lost” and last summer's “Mission Impossible 3”) would be writing the script and that Abrams has not yet decided if he wants to direct the feature.
"Paramount has announced a release date of 2008.
"That’s all that’s official," Lindelof added. "The fundamental J.J. Abrams approach to storytelling is one I highly subscribe to which is character, character, character and we're applying that same model on to Trek. I think fundamentally to set a movie in space and the future where crazy things are happening and they’re all aliens is not as engaging as 'how are the people involved?'"
Hmm so what do you think????,,,,,
