A very solid, different episode showcasing the excellent writing on the show.

PRISON BREAK The Message
PRISON BREAK has a great way of surprising you on occasion. Sure, the show is good regardless but sometimes it pulls out an episode such as the one on Monday night.
With the brothers on the run (of course) and getting help from Agent Kellerman just after Terrance Steadman killed himself ending their attempt to uncover the conspiracy against them, they enlist (or kidnap) a camera man from a local television station and record a message to the public. What appears as an odd, random message explaining their innocence and exposing The Company is much more with a cryptic message for Sarah – holding one of the last remaining keys to exposing the conspiracy.
The episode is so filled with different messages and words that it takes a crew from the FBI in order to uncover the lies from the truths from the misdirection. The mystery was fun to watch as was the set-up to the video how they decided to craft and why. This just shows why PRISON BREAK is one of the best written and executed series on television right now, regardless of ratings positive or negative.
In the end, we find out Sarah is holding a key but to what we don’t know as of yet and she is going to hook up once again with Scofield in order to end the manhunt and expose the truth. Or they hope. The mysterious President of the United States, who we haven’t seen all year because she was involved in another television show (the actress not the president), calls Kellerman and offers to make things right again if he only deals with the two brothers. How this will play out in the future and if Kellerman – who has an obsession with her and even proposed to her at one point – will turn on his new allies.
The only thing that was of question was that now that they have issued a video statement they are even more in the public eye and they believability that no one will know who they are or recognize their face is even more unbelievable. However, given this is television, it is not something that is a deal breaker in any way. And, they did “bury” the story thanks to some well-timed news from The Company.
Meanwhile, we found out what Sucre has been up to and traveling the Mexican backlands on route to find his long, lost love. Without any money or any help getting across the country, Sucre befriends an old man who has just lost his wife and he gives Sucre shelter for the night. Sucre instead steals his car and gets caught. But the old man is nice and realizes he is doing this for love and not only sets him free from the cops but also gives him some money for along the way. Unlike last week’s subplots that were not very enjoyable at all – except Bellick – this one was very good and it will be interesting to see what Sucre does in Mexico.
Speaking of Bellick, again we caught up with after getting a nasty beat down by the other prison guards and who is now in the infirmary getting better. Mahone pays him a visit and he is willing to help get better accommodations if he helps out with finding a link to Sarah after deciphering the crypt message on the video. However, it looks like Mahone is going to pull some strings and get Bellick out in order to hunt down the brothers and now Kellerman.
While Bellick in prison was a good subplot, having him back in the fold is where belongs as a good antagonist. The only question is, will he actually track them down or will he eventually join up the crusade to escape?
I will be honest with everyone i haven't seen allot of this show but, i can say this people that i talk to,swear by this show.
What do you say????
