Remember when Spock got a bit horney???

At last the team behind the original series remastered episodes have gotten to perhaps one of the best stories of Star Trek’s second season.
The half-human Mister Spock (Leonard Nimoy) must return to his homeworld of Vulcan to take a mate, or die, in "Amok Time," a remastered episode of the original Star Trek series, premiering in national syndication during the weekend of February 17, 2007.
Enterprise captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner) defies Starfleet orders to take his friend, Spock, to Vulcan. Once there, Kirk finds himself pitted against his friend in mortal combat. Celia Lovsky guest
stars as T'Pau, the Vulcan matriarch who presides at Spock's wedding, and Arlene Martel guests as T'Pring, the beautiful Vulcan woman who is destined to become Spock's wife.
In Amok Time we learned more about Mr Spocks Vulcan Heritage and also about the Vulcan seven year itch to mate for the logical result of more children in order to continue to family line.
Amok time was to many Star Trek at it’s very best. The story of Amok time had a very Shakespearian feel to it and is also one of the few stories where we get to see Captain Kirk having to fight his first officer Mr Spock, which truly tests their friendship.
This episode was far more a dramatic episode than it was an FX laden story. As a result only two new scenes have been redone.
1. Sky Bridge. Kirk (William Shatner), Spock (Leonard Nimoy), and
McCoy (DeForest Kelley) traverse a stone bridge to a Vulcan mountaintop
where Spock must take a wife, or die. The spectacular stone bridge on
Spock's homeworld is depicted by an all-new matte painting in the
digitally remastered version of "Amok Time," the Star Trek episode
premiering in syndication this weekend.
2. Arena. An ancient ceremonial arena, located on a mountaintop on
planet Vulcan is the setting for Spock's wedding in the
digitally-remastered version of "Amok Time," the Star Trek episode
premiering in syndication this weekend. In this breathtaking setting,
Spock (Leonard Nimoy) must fight his captain for possession of the
beautiful - but scheming - T'Pring (Arlene Martel), a fight that can
only end when one of them is dead!
