While searching for new avatars i've come across a few animated gif files that would make quite good avatars.
My problem is that their size in pixels and in Kb. are too big.

What software can i use to make them smaller?

photshop can do this but its easier to do with imageready which usually come with CS2 :)

it depends on what the file type is .gif usually has a smaller compression method so it should work as would .png but that usually is somewhat larger ... you could also change the size of the image in any software includeing paint by cropping , or if you use imageshack you can choose to make the file size smaller from the start of the upload so that would decrese the file size

Folks,

I'm no expert on this, but I did find a site on the web that let's people do exactly what Rafiki wants to do with animated gif files. I used it myself to size down my own animated files which I posted on the Avatar Competition thread.

The site is really easy to use. Let's face it, it would have to be for me to be able to do it. So, please have a look and tell me what you think . . .
