really, they're massive, don't read on if you want to enjoy the finale
Tyrol is having bad nightmares. Cally finds him passed out on the flight deck. He wakes up and in a rage beats her up and breaks her jaw (!?). He talks to a priest (Brother Cavel) since Tyrol doesn't like doctors.
Starbuck leads a mission back to Caprica to pick up the survivors. They are using several Raptors, the guts of the heavy raider and Sharon. They HOOK Sharon up to the guts of the raider to plot the jumps.
The mission has a few snags. One of the Raptors FTLs into a mountain and another goes to wrong place. . . and finds a planet.
Kara finds Anders and he tells her they were attacked that morning but the Cylons backed off and left (?). Something like that. Sharon knows the priest they pick up is a Cylon but keeps mum.
They high tail it back to the big G. Tyrol attacks this copy of Cavel. Kara introduces Anders to Adama (and it's like a girl bringing home her boyfriend to meet dad). We also see Lee meet Anders.
The election is going on. Laura meets with Baltar and confronts him with his relationship with CapSix. He pretty much accuses her of buying into her delusions since she is losing the election. She
tries to fix the election. . .using Dee and Tigh. Gaeta busts them. (There is a promo pic out of Gaeta and Dee with the ballots.) Baltar and Gina also try to fix the election in his favor.
Baltar wins the election. Zarek helps get him elected.
Gina nukes cloud 9. She dies. Part 1 cliffhanger is the Caprica rescue mission being attacked.
Early in part 2 we jump forward a year. "New Caprica" has been colonized. Pegasus and Galactica are ghost ships.
Baltar is president. He's drugged up and drinking. The government is a complete mess.
Lets see. Lee and Dee are still together (on Peggy). I think Dee has Hoshi's job. Planet side, Tyrol and Cally are expecting a baby. Nothing is a better foundation for a healthy relationship then a massive beat down.
Tyrol is some sort of "Union leader" and wears glasses.
Laura is a teacher. Anders and Kara are together.
and married. Yep. Anders is very sick and Kara is trying to get medicine. Cottle tells her there isn't any.
CapSix and Boomer meet with the Cylons and decide that their plan was a bad one. They aren't human, they are machines. There second mistake was "following the fleet".
CapSix and a Boomer show up to chat. We know it's CapSix but it's not 100% clear if it's Gal!Cap!Downloaded!Boomer
Kara catches Anders playing Pyramid and is annoyed since he is so sick.
She talks to Lee on the phone and asks him for medicine, (Pegasus
stockpiles it). He refuses. He's irked at her since she slighted him
and Dee while she was drunk at some point. The call gets cut off when
the Cylons show up.
Cliffhanger is. . . the fleet jumps away and leaves all the people on the planet stuck in "occupied France". Adama says they are leaving but they are coming back.
Helo and Sharon.
They have a few scenes together. Sharon "essentially" tells him to Frak
off in the last one.
We see Hera on the planet with Maya. She has
renamed her Isis.
Oh end of the episode. Last lines:
Tyrol: "What do we do now, captain?"
Kara: Same thing we always do. fight them until we can't.
We get Kara, Tigh and Roslin plotting resistance. Oh, oh. Near the very
end someone comes to Anders tent and asks for Kara. It's Leoben.
Forgive me if anything here is out of order or a bit scrambled. My cold medicine kicked in a while ago.
Sharon and the heavy raider: "yeah it's her , hooked up via arm cable thingie to a blobby-gooey rock lookin' thing with some metal stuff and LEDs..The HR can calculate longer jumps then the raptors."
Roslin tells Adama that Baltar is working with the Cylons.
We end up with two Brother Cavel's on Galactica. After the jump forward, Galactica is in quite a state of disrepair. Adama uses a light in part 2, but it's not his father's from HoG.
Tyrol/Cally: "Buyt you see a very touching scene between her and him, doc cotle says "you have a visitor". Tyrol is all teary. he says "I'm sooo sorry" she says "I know it wasn't your fault..I forgive you. I care about you. i always have, and always will" (not word-for -word" but quite touching.
She has a broken jaw at the time..." - Yep, the great start of a truly healthy relationship there.
The Cylons find the planet after they detected the nuke that Gina set off.
A major theme is finding out "who you are". Roslin says to airlock the Brothers Cavel. Baltar cries a bunch. Gaeta is planetside at the end and wakes up Baltar to tell him the Cylons are here.
