or Dina Meyer
the last two played both in Star Trek, but I'll go for Dina Meyer who played Commander Donatra in StarTrek Nemesis and she was also in Outer Limits (or Free Spirit) as Dr. Rachel Harris. (is it a real SciFi series?, never heared of it...)
could not find anything about a nickname...
On then we have as second option Blake Lindsley, who played in Startrek Klingon Academy as K'Mpec, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine where she played one episode as Synon.
She had a nanny from haiti, so maybe that could be a lead to a nickname...
